Cheetah Software Systems, a  software as a service (SaaS) provider offering routing and dispatch applications for cell phones and PDAs, will integrate those applications with RouteTracker, an on-board recorder from Turnpike Global Technologies.

The integration will add real-time vehicle performance data to the Cheetah systems, as well as automated fuel-tax and hours-of-service functions. The combined capabilities will result in “predictive LTL and delivery software,” according to Cheetah, which services private and LTL fleets in North America.

New features from the Cheetah/Turnpike partnership will include driver behavior analysis based on recorded route activity, route planning based on individual driver performance and regional variables, and benchmarks for tracking performance improvements, according to the software provider.
