DRS Tactical Systems, Inc., a unit of DRS Technologies, has added the Armor Convertible notebook and Armor Tablet PC to its line of rugged mobile computers.

According to the company, the 5.2 lb. computers offer data protection technology, “anywhere” connectivity and sunlight-readable display options as well as integrated Wi-Fi and Ethernet.

The Armor C12 convertible notebook computers feature a magnesium alloy case and a 12.1-in. touchscreen display that can quickly transform from tablet-style to compact notebook, DRS said.

The Armor X10 tablet’s aluminum DuraCase chassis with ShutOut sealing technology protects against dust, dirt, water and extreme temperature, and is available in touchscreen or passive-pen versions, the company added.
