Navman Wireless has released its M-Nav 760, the latest upgrade to its M-Nav all-in-one vehicle dispatch, messaging and GPS navigation unit. The M-Nav is designed to work with Navman’s OnlineAVL2 fleet tracking system.

The upgraded unit includes built-in Bluetooth technology. It also includes fleet productivity tools such as automating communications and job routing with drivers on the road. The unit includes a ruggedized housing and touchscreen for commercial use.

“Fleet drivers need a commercial-grade navigation device with truck routing, two-way messaging and other features built for business,” said Renaat Ver Eecke, vice president and general manager, Navman Wireless North America. “The M-Nav 760 offers this robust feature set along with the ability to tie everything back to our OnlineAVL2 fleet tracking and reporting software to gather data on vehicles, drivers and overall fleet operations.”

With the M-Nav 760, dispatchers are able to send job details, location and customer information directly from the OnlineAVL2 software to the nearest vehicle in the field without typing or making a phone call, the company said. Once a job is accepted, maps and audio turn-by-turn directions are delivered to the driver.

Route adjustments, job instructions and messaging are also available with a simple click.

The M-Nav 760 also features routing based on truck attributes such as length and weight; driver ID functionality to capture drivers’ hours; automatically generates time cards and analyzes attributes such as speed and mileage to determine driver and fleet productivity; pre-programmed messaging with up to 100 customizable messages; and real-time forms-based reporting.

Navman is offering the M-Nav 760 on a monthly lease basis to eliminate the need for up front capital investment.
