Software integrates financial data for logistics

Logistics companies looking to integrate financial data related to their transportation business into existing accounting packages such as QuickBooks can uuse Transite Technology’s new My Freight Portal-3PL. The software allows costs and profits for each transaction to be managed easily, Transite said, while offering  the customers of 3PLs “full transportation process functionality.”

Accounts payable and receivable can be integrated into accounting programs, which can then be turned into customer activity level, financial and carrier selection pattern reports. The software will integrate with other systems, allowing the user to monitor the logistics lifecycle from carrier selection to freight audit. The customers of 3PLs can rate-shop and receive real-time tracking and shipment visibility, noted Transite.

My Freight Portal-3PL also includes a “markup per transaction” feature that can be managed on each transaction. Logistics companies can enable a shipper to manage markup and profit margin as the product is delivered to the end customer, Transite said.
