Vigillo updates users to new CSA 2010 Scorecard

Users of Vigillo’s CSA 2010 Scorecard have been updated with new methodologies to better reflect the CSA 2010 BASICs. Fleets can now view their scores prior to the FMCSA viewing date of Aug. 16.

Among the changes for users:
- 31 new violation codes not in the previous methodology
- 300 violations removed
- 260 weight severity changes
- 88 violation description changes
- 335 violation code changes

Examples of these new changes include areas such as cargo securement where violations in the old methodology were weighted one point are now weighted at five points, and speeding violations that are now tiered based on the number of miles over the limit.

“These are game changing moves the FMCSA has made,” said Steve Bryan, CEO of Vigillo.

“Because we have the ability to make these changes with relative ease, our 1800 customers are now being scored using the new methodology and can view their new scores now vs. waiting until the official FMCSA release date of Aug. 16.”
