April 24, 2012

Meritor recently opened a new ASEAN aftermarket distribution and customer service center in Jurong Town, Singapore. The facility will supply Meritor products to six countries.

“Our global experience with serving our customers has enabled us to incorporate many advancements in this new distribution center solidifying our leadership position in the aftermarket,” said Eike Torsten Merz, managing director, Aftermarket, Asia Pacific, Meritor. “Our speed to customers in Asia Pacific will improve dramatically, as well as our ample critical-parts inventory to meet all truck, tractor and trailer service parts demands.”

The opening event was attended by customers, suppliers, business partners and government officials, including David Adelman, U.S. ambassador to Singapore.

With the ability to supply Indochina, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand, the new facility will provide commercial vehicle axle, brake, driveline and suspension parts – under the Meritor, TruckTechnic, Euclid and Mascot brands – to distributors in the region, along with thousands of end-user truck operators.
