Chevrolet City Express cargo van

Chevy’s City Express van now on way to dealers

Oct. 24, 2014

Chevrolet has announced that it has begun shipping its all-new City Express compact cargo van to dealers.  A 2015 model, the compact commercial van’s MSRP starts at $22,950.

Via GM Fleet & Commercial, the commercial vehicle is available under Business Choice, an incentive program that provides qualified business owners with a $350 “upfit cash allowance.”

Chevrolet is also offering City Express buyers “ship-thru service,” which sends the vehicle directly to an upfitter from the plant and the upfitted vehicle is delivered directly to the dealer once complete.

“Our existing customers will love getting behind the wheel of the City Express when it’s at their Chevrolet dealership,” said Ed Peper, U.S. vp, GM Fleet & Commercial. “But we’re most looking forward to giving potential new customers the opportunity to experience one of many Chevrolet commercial vehicles that best fit their needs.”

To make the shopping and purchasing process easier and more convenient, Chevrolet said it’s providing web tools on Chevrolet.com that provide customization options for potential buyers.

“We understand our customers are often too busy to step away from the office to visit a dealership,” said Peper. “So we give them the option to build a City Express online with their specific color, trim and even wheels, so that they are fully aware of the cost to their business before they meet with a salesperson.”

Buyers also can compare the City Express to other vehicles in the marketplace as to “how it stacks up in areas like fuel economy, pricing, and safety.”

City Express will be covered by Chevrolet Complete Care, which includes scheduled maintenance for 2 years/24,000 miles as well as 5 years/100,000 miles of 24-Hour roadside assistance and courtesy transportation. The van is also covered under Chevrolet’s 5-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty and a 3-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper limited warranty.
