Amp Trillium has opened a compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station in Perry, GA. The station will serve the area Frito-Lay North America fleet as well as providing public access.
The station is located at the Davis Oil Company Commercial Fueling Station at 523 Perry Parkway, 10 mi. from Frito-Lay’s plant in Kathleen, GA. Its proximity to the Thompson Road exit off Interstate 75 provides easy access and convenient CNG fueling for heavy-duty truck fleets between Atlanta and Valdosta, GA, amp Trillium said.
The station will be open 24/7 and features two dual-hose dispensers, allowing two semitrailers to fuel at the same time, and Trillium CNG’s fast-fill hydraulic intensifier compressor.
“This is the third of five CNG stations we’ve been awarded to build for Frito-Lay North America, said Mary Boettcher, Trillium CNG president. “We’re proud to support Frito-Lay’s sustainability goals to improve fleet fuel efficiency through the reduction harmful carbon emissions.”
“Having a company with the credibility of Frito-Lay switch their fleet to CNG is a powerful statement,” said Nate Laurell, ampCNG CEO. “Frito understands that fueling with CNG creates an economic and environmental opportunity, one that we are excited to help them realize.”
Amp Trillium is a joint venture between Trillium CNG and ampCNG.
