Vocational Mack Pinnacle models powered by the Cummins Westport ISX12 G natural gas engine option can now be speced with Eaton’s UltraShift Plus automated mechanical transmission (AMT) and the Bendix Wingman Advanced collision mitigation system.
The UltraShift Plus uses advanced electronic controls to automatically shift the heavy-duty transmission for maximum efficiency and performance. Wingman Advanced offers adaptive cruise control that maintains safe following distances by actively engaging foundation brakes and the engine retarder, as well as by reducing throttle.
“Our customers told us they wanted the option of an automated transmission, as well as the benefits of Wingman Advanced safety technology in the natural gas Pinnacle model,” said Stephen Roy, president of Mack Trucks North America. “In response, we’ve expanded our offer to ensure we satisfy these requirements.”
