Eaton Corp. will supply Navistar’s North American dealers with remanufactured transmissions. Most of the transmissions made available to Navistar’s 350 dealers will be Eaton Flex Reman models, the company said.
“This new agreement with Navistar promises to bring a wealth of benefits to our mutual fleet and independent trucker customers,” said Shane Groner, global account director – Navistar, Eaton commercial vehicle group. “We are continuously enhancing our Flex Reman lineup of transmissions and we’re happy to see that the industry as a whole and Navistar specifically are supporting these improvements in a big way.”
The Flex Reman transmissions for Navistar will include a customized design with shift bars in a forward configuration on the housings. Ten part numbers will be available with this design, Eaton said.
“We very much welcome this newest agreement with the industry’s top supplier of commercial vehicle transmissions,” said John Pens, product manager – drivetrain components for Navistar. “It should definitely help our dealers increase and enhance their aftermarket business. Ultimately our end user customers will benefit the most.”
Eaton recently added several new enhancements to its Flex products, including a new pricing structure with logistic center, direct ship and truck-down orders all priced the same.
Standard warranty coverage is two years/unlimited miles. Extended protection plans are also available, and when Flex or standard remanufactured transmissions are bundled with an Eaton Advantage Series clutch and Roadranger lubricants, the transmission warranty coverage is extended to three years.
