General Motors appointed Ian Hucker as the new head of GM Envolve, the company’s fleet business solutions.
Hucker joins GM after previously serving as chief commercial officer for Hyundai Capital Europe. He also has previous global experience at GM, holding senior sales roles in the U.S., Germany, Russia, and the U.K. as well as leadership positions such as executive director of European sales, director of European fleet and remarketing, and director of corporate and leasing sales.
Hucker will lead GM Envolve’s efforts to provide integrated fleet solutions that help businesses achieve their mobility and sustainability goals.

GM Fleet rebranded as GM Envolve last year under the leadership of Sandor Piszar, then-VP of the division. The rebrand aimed to “leverage the full suite of products and services that General Motors has to offer to help our customers grow their business,” Piszar told FleetOwner in March 2024.
Since then, GM Envolve has boasted a growing commercial fleet business.
Under Piszar’s leadership, the GM division celebrated becoming the No. 1-selling OEM for fleets in 2024 as well as experiencing a 17% year-over-year increase in sales for 2025 already, Jennifer Costabile, GM Envolve’s general director of marketing and sales, told FleetOwner at the 2025 Work Truck Show earlier this month.
While Piszar can’t take credit for the 17% YOY growth from 2024 to 2025—he announced his retirement in January of this year—only time will tell how Hucker will carry on GM Envolve’s success.
“We are excited to welcome Ian Hucker back to lead GM Envolve,” Duncan Aldred, VP global commercial growth strategies and operations at GM, said. “His expertise in strategy development and transformation will help GM Envolve continue to grow and deliver value to our customers.”
