With the list we compiled we’ll show you the notable spots comprised of some of the best truck stops in America and the mom-and-pop shops ready to welcome you.”

Each score is based on a five-star ranking with the overall rank being devised of four categories and a bonus category:

  • Online Review Score—This data was compiled from the average truck stop review data from Yelp, Google, and TripAdvisor.

  • National Monument Vicinity Score—Data was pulled from Google Maps to identify the total number of national parks and monuments in a 20-mile radius to determine activity scores.

  • Food Offering Score

    • 1—Only processed, shelf-stable snacks and drinks

    • 2—Fresh plus processed food

    • 3—Including everything from 1 & 2 plus 1 fast-food/chain restaurant

    • 4—Including everything from 1-3  plus 2 fast-food/chain restaurant

    • 5—Including everything from 1-4 plus 1 independent restaurant

  • Amenity Offering Score
