Feb. 3, 2023
Justin Gil Palmer has held numerous executive positions in the industry. Most recently, he has been president and CEO of Daimler's Mitsubishi Fuso Trucks America since 2017.

Electric powertrain maker SEA Electric has appointed its new North American president: Justin Gil Palmer, former president and CEO of Mitsubishi Fuso Trucks America (MFTA-Daimler Trucks).

As MFTA-Daimler’s CEO since 2017, Palmer’s duties encompassed the brand’s distribution network and market strategy in the U.S. and Canada, extending to sales, communications, and marketing, as well as CS operations and logistics, retail network development, and product management.

“The e-logistics movement is at a crossover point where industry now understands the true value of its potential, both from an environmental standpoint and for the bottom lines of adopting businesses,” said Tony Fairweather, SEA Electric founder and CEO. “Justin’s experience and insight in the North American trucking market together with his true e-trucking distribution and support experience is a significant addition to the SEA Electric team and will assist in driving the business forward on all fronts.”

“It is a true personal mission to convert the trucking industry into a clean industry,” Palmer said, “and that starts with a focus on the urban and inner-city delivery sectors.”

With Palmer joining the Los Angeles-based, urban delivery-focused SEA Electric team, Mike Menyhart, who had led the North America business, will now head global marketing, strategy, and business development in his new role as chief commercial officer.
