Connecticut-based Oil Purification Systems (OPS) has announced Greg Slawson has been appointed chief executive officer. In addition, the company has secured $2.5 million in funding from Atlantic Capital Group, Sterling Passive Investments, RDA Ventures, LLC, USA Fund, LP and Connecticut Innovations to help expand current product offerings and enter new industries, the company said.
OPS produces fluid cleaning products, including the OPS-1 onboard fluid cleaning system that significantly extends oil drains by removing solid and liquid contaminants from engine oil, the company said.
Slawson previously served as OPS' chief operating officer.
"OPS' products continue to gain acceptance in a growing number of industries," said Slawson. "This latest round of funding enables us to increase our efforts in developing even better products in the future that will help our customers and potential customers save more money in oil maintenance costs, while also decreasing the negative effects that oil waste can have on the environment."
