Averitt expands its Nashville operations

Feb. 1, 2024
The FO500 fleet renovated its 42-acre service center in the Nashville area and relocated its distribution and fulfillment center and logistics operations.

Averitt continues to strengthen its foothold in Nashville by expanding and enhancing three trucking facilities in the Middle Tennessee area.

Averitt (No. 27 on the 2023 FleetOwner 500: For-Hire) recently completed renovations of its Nashville-area service center. Situated at the heart of the company’s regional distribution network, Averitt’s Nashville service center spans 42 acres and includes 510 truck parking spaces and 162 dock doors, accommodating 190 drivers and over 300 associates.

Recent renovations at that location include:

  • Modernized building exterior and grounds
  • Renovated and updated office and dock space
  • Added LED lighting for improved safety and sustainability
  • New restrooms
  • Replaced fencing for improved security and appearance
  • Expanded and upgraded all parking for both associate and operational needs
  • New drive-through wash bay and upgraded fuel bays
  • Upgraded security system throughout the property
  • New preventive maintenance locker room

Averitt has also moved its Nashville-area Distribution & Fulfillment operations into a new facility at Central Logistics Park East on Hixson Blvd. in Lebanon. The location features about 280,000 sq. ft. of enclosed freight storage and inventory management space. Located off Interstate 840, a vital corridor in Middle Tennessee, this facility positions Averitt at the forefront of Nashville’s role as a distribution hub. Businesses can leverage the space for quick regional deliveries and distribution throughout North America.

Additionally, Averitt has moved its On Tour Logistics operation to a 90,000-sq.-ft. warehouse. The warehouse at 2 Dell Parkway in Nashville previously served as the distribution and fulfillment center for the company.

“Our commitment to our facilities is a direct investment not just in our own network but also in our customers’ success,” said Joe Paul Tackett, Averitt’s Nashville Service Center director.
