Citing the costs of meeting tighter diesel emissions standards, General Motors has announced pricing for the 2007i lineup of gas- and diesel-powered C-Series and T-Series medium-duty trucks, effective first quarter of its 2007 calendar year.

The 2007 model C4500 and C5500 models equipped with the 6.6L Duramax turbo-diesel engine receive the option of a more powerful variant with more horsepower and torque than ’06 models; C6500, C7500, C8500 and T-Series models equipped with the Isuzu 6H engine also feature more standard horsepower and torque.

Base model prices range from $28,450 on the C4500 to $83,437 on the T8500.

“The changes with diesel-equipped vehicles are the direct result of GM’s compliance with the new federal emissions standard,” said Mark Karney, GM director of marketing for commercial trucks and vans.

GM noted that the price increases reflect on both the new '07 emissions technology and engine performance improvements. Base model prices for diesel-powered C-Series and T-Series trucks:

  • C4500, $37,934
  • C5500, $47,744
  • C6500, $61,356
  • C7500, $62,206
  • C8500 Single Axle, $72,209 (up $8,834 from MY '06)
  • C8500 Tandem Axle, $81,572 (up $8,252 from MY '06)
  • T6500, $63,021 (up $8,748 from MY '06)
  • T7500, $63,266 (up $8,753 from MY '06)
  • T8500 Single Axle, $73,392 (up $7,884 from MY '06)
