Concord, CA-based third party logistics company Pacer International is promoting Randy Strutz to chief commercial officer for its retail subsidiary, Pacer Global Logistics (PGL). Strutz, who retains his duties as president of PGL’s rail brokerage unit, NOW reports directly to Alex Munn, PGL’s president & CEO.

Strutz will be responsible for all sales, marketing and business development activities for PGL’s services to manufacturers and retailers.

His experience includes a 13-year career with Thomson Consumer Electronics in finance, logistics and transportation, and plant management, including heading Thomson’s television-glass manufacturing plant operation. Strutz joined Pacer in 2001.
