International Truck and Engine Corp. is rolling out a new Class 6 truck, the 4200 4x4. It is a fully integrated, factory-built four-wheel-drive truck that extends the OEM’s 4x4 option into a lighter GVW rating, said Mike Elwell, International’s director of marketing for medium-duty vehicles.

Elwell noted that the key characteristics of the International 4200 are maneuverability and visibility, as well as extended and synchronized service intervals for reduced maintenance and operating costs.

The 4200 4x4 will be equipped with International’s Diamond Logic electric system, which offers self-diagnostic capabilities.

The new truck will be available with 21,500 and 25,999 GVW ratings. International noted it is capable of achieving a low 105-in overall height when equipped with 19.5-in tires.
