Baldwin Filters says its new InterBlend is a high-performance filter media that capitalizes on its blended construction. InterBlend is formed with both cellulose and multi-layered “melt-blown” polyester-synthetic fibers.
The filter maker says this combo is deadly to dirt, explaining that the combined material “increases both contaminant-removal efficiency and dirt-holding capacity while minimizing flow restriction.” The whole idea, said Baldwin, is to provide media with high performance to protect today’s high-pressure fuel systems.
According to Baldwin, lab tests performed per engine maker Cummins’ Engineering Standard 14223 demonstrate that Baldwin’s BF1259 filter with InterBlend has “capacity 36% greater than the Cummins minimum specification, making it an excellent choice for even the toughest conditions.”
