Mega transport-refrigeration dealer Central States Thermo King Inc. (CSTK) has acquired the assets of Thermo King of Philadelphia, Philadelphia, PA; Thermo King of Lehigh Valley, Allentown, PA; Thermo King of Scranton, Jessup, PA; and Thermo King of Vineland, Vineland, NJ. The four dealerships will be reorganized and re-designated as CSTK East.

Kansas City, KS-based CSTK and its sister company, Velociti Inc., which specializes in deploying wireless technology, currently have locations in St. Louis, MO; Oklahoma City, OK; Wichita, KS; Barstow, CA; and Atlanta, GA, as well as corporate headquarters and other operating divisions in Kansas City.

In addition to the sale and service of equipment manufactured by Thermo King Corporation, CSTK provides a variety of transportation solutions, including idle-reduction systems, telematics, truck and trailer replacement parts and repair services, guaranteed maintenance contracts and snow removal equipment. Most of these products and services will be offered by CSTK East before the end of the second quarter of 2006, said CSTK.

"In response to changing customer's demands, our Midwest operations have added a myriad of products and services to our Thermo King line to permit us to provide a one-stop shop for our customer's transportation needs," stated Michael Kahn, president & CEO for CSTK and general counsel of Velociti. "Our customers like this concept and have asked us to expand to other regions. We intend to provide current CSTK customers with operations in the East and our new customers with the expanded services and products that CSTK customers expect and the customer service they rightly demand."
