Logistics software provider NextJet Inc. has launched a version 3.0 of its multi-modal route optimization and transportation management system. The system, which evaluates millions of potential shipment possibilities and automatically selects the most efficient routing option for customers, now has extended capabilities that increase efficiency. Logistics software provider NextJet Inc. has launched a version 3.0 of its multi-modal route optimization and transportation management system. The system, which evaluates millions of potential shipment possibilities and automatically selects the most efficient routing option for customers, now has extended capabilities that increase efficiency.

NextJet said major enhancements include voice notification of a shipment's whereabouts, wireless driver communication and improved capabilities to qualify flight delays. With the new voice-messaging option, customers receive voice updates at each stage of the order. This offering complements the company's existing proactive email notification system, the company said.
