Volvo Trucks North America recently opened a new parts distribution center in Dallas, TX. The facility spans 63,000 sq. ft. and is expected to fill more than 180,000 orders for parts annually, the OEM said.
“This means Volvo dealers served by this parts distribution center are now able to receive their parts orders in most cases overnight by truck, instead of resorting to air freight,” said Rikard Jonsson, senior vp—parts sales & marketing. “Our customers will benefit from enhanced parts availability, quicker parts delivery, and the reassurance that a large, fully-stocked parts distribution center provides premium support to truck operators in a highly competitive freight market,” he adds.
