A 2005 Freightliner Columbia, owned by Interstate Distributor Co., is carrying several Christmas trees from Washington State to Washington D.C. that will be on display at the White House and Camp David. The 2,900-mi. trek is expected to end at the nation’s capitol later this week.

Of the three trees harvested for this years' holiday display, the tallest is an 18-1/2-foot Noble Fir tree that will be placed in the Blue Room at the White House. This tree, from the Christmas Hills Tree Farm in Mossyrock, WA., was carried by helicopter from the tree fields to a refrigerated trailer hauled by the truck.

Also on board were an 11-foot Noble Fir that will be placed in the Oval Office and a 10-foot Noble Fir that will be placed at Camp David in Maryland. These two trees were cut from the Northwest Plantations Tree Farm in Rochester, WA.

"The national holiday tree display is a great tradition," said Mark Lampert, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Freightliner Trucks. "We are proud to have one of our products, a Freightliner Columbia, transport these trees to their final destination."

These Noble Fir trees will be on display in the White House and Camp David beginning in early December.
