Goodyear says its new G164 RTD regional traction drive tire is designed for durability and dependability in all kinds of weather.
The tire features a deeper 24/32nds non-skid tread for increased miles to removal and a traction-block tread for high drive-wheel efficiency. Shoulder tie bars help it resist "hi/lo" lug wear, and ejectors in the grooves help reduce damage from stone drilling.
The tire maker says the G164 RTD's performance should remain consistent throughout its tread life. That's due in part to its "aggressive worn appearance - grooves and sipes that are the full depth of the tread." The tire has a premium casing and mold shape that provides both durability and retreadability.
The G164 RTD will initially be available in these six sizes: 295/75R22.5, 285/75R24.5, 11R22.5 and 11R24.5 rated for load range G; and 11R22.5 and 10.00R20 rated for load range H.
