Tele Atlas has introduced its Tele Atlas/Logistics street routing database for the U.S. and Canada that includes details such as road restrictions and bridge clearances along with more than seven million miles of roads, 19 categories of restrictions (including hazardous materials restrictions), and truck-preferred/truck-restricted routes.
Tele Atlas introduced its newest product at the American Trucking Assns.’ Management Conference & Exhibition in Boston on Oct. 17 along with a new Tele Atlas customer – mobile communications giant, Qualcomm, Inc. According to the companies, Qualcomm will to deploy the Tele Atlas Dynamap/Transportation and Logistics databases to enhance its line of platforms, applications and services for the transportation and logistics and construction equipment industries, including the upcoming OmniVision mobile computing platform.
