Liquid Trucking launches Siouxland Transloading to enhance chemical supply chain efficiency
Liquid Trucking, a provider of transportation services for agricultural, food-grade, and hazardous materials, recently launched Siouxland Transloading, a new facility designed to upgrade the chemical supply chain in the Midwest. Located adjacent to Liquid Trucking’s South Sioux City terminal, Siouxland Transloading offers efficiency, safety, and service for chemical shippers.
Siouxland Transloading is positioned on six acres of land, accessible from State Highway 20 and Interstate 29. The facility currently features one operational loading rack with plans to bring a second online soon and more to meet growing customer demand. The racks are equipped to handle a variety of bulk liquid products, including sulfuric acid, caustic soda, and sodium bisulfite, with transfer capabilities between rail cars and semi-tank trailers.

In addition to transloading, the facility offers a range of features, including an on-site scale, a warehouse for storage, and 24-hour video surveillance to ensure the highest levels of security. The proximity to local law enforcement further enhances the safety of the operations.
Under the leadership of Chris Baltushis, Liquid Trucking’s South Sioux City terminal manager, Siouxland Transloading is designed to reduce driver wait times. The facility has implemented streamlined processes that allow drivers to be in and out within 35 minutes.
“Our goal is to create a more efficient and driver-friendly environment,” Baltushis said. “If drivers are sitting, they're not making money. We’ve built Siouxland Transloading to get them back on the road as quickly as possible.”
