Phillips and Inland Trailer partner to raise the standard in trailer technology
Phillips recently partnered with Inland Trailer in Mexico. Inland is committed to integrating trailer solutions and full telematics capabilities into its new builds, including Phillips' Smart7 system, Rear-Vu backup camera, CargoVision, Permalite trailer lighting, and more.
The solutions will be included in all new trailer builds, and existing customers will have the opportunity to retrofit their current trailers as well.
Fleet connectivity
Phillips Connect’s Smart7 system allows fleets to monitor trailer location, status, and health anytime, anywhere. The Smart7 nose box has an integrated cellular gateway that collects all sensor data and transfers it to a centralized cloud-based platform, where fleet managers can access real-time information and analytics for improved operational efficiency and decision-making. Inland is incorporating sensors such as TPMS, ATIS regulator, ABS monitoring, CargoVision cargo camera, and door locking security. The features offer visibility and control over trailer operations, enhancing safety, efficiency, and the overall management of fleet assets.

Increased visibility and cargo monitoring
Inland’s integration of technologies such as CargoVision, Rear-Vu backup camera, and Permalite lighting will enhance fleet management by increasing visibility and cargo monitoring capabilities. Phillips Connect’s CargoVision provides real-time camera visibility of cargo status and load conditions, ensuring that fleet operators are alerted to any issues that might compromise safety or delivery integrity. Phillips said its Rear-Vu backup camera enhances driver visibility, reducing the risk of accidents during reverse maneuvers, and contributing to safer fleet operations. Phillips’ Permalite lighting offers durable, energy-efficient illumination, improving visibility, increasing compliance, and keeping the roads safe.
