Mack appoints regional sales vps

According to Mack Trucks, Inc., the truck and engine maker has tapped experienced managers to lead the company’s sales efforts in three key regions. Patrick Meehan has been named vp of the Northeast Region; John Thomas vp of the Western Region; and David Barletta, vp of the Central Region

According to Mack Trucks, Inc., the truck and engine maker has tapped experienced managers to lead the company’s sales efforts in three key regions. Patrick Meehan has been named vp of the Northeast Region; John Thomas vp of the Western Region; and David Barletta, vp of the Central Region.

“These appointments underscore Mack’s commitment to strong customer relationships at the regional level,” said Kevin Flaherty, Mack senior vp, sales & marketing. “All three have deep experience with Mack, our customers and their businesses.” Meehan, Thomas and Barletta report to Flaherty.

Meehan has been with Mack for 23 years, most recently as vp of the Western Region. He holds a BS in Economics from DeSales University, and will be based in Allentown, PA.

Thomas has been with the OEM for 34 years. He most recently served as senior vp of distribution development, with responsibility for Mack’s North American dealer network. He holds a BS in Business Administration from Rider University, and will be based in Dallas.

Barletta has been with the company for 25 years. He served most recently as district sales manager in the Central Region and has held a number of positions in service, sales and marketing in his career. Barletta was also president & CEO of the former Mack subsidiary, Mack Trucks of Utah, Inc. He is a graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Technology and will be based in Chicago.

Mack is one of North America’s largest producers of heavy-duty trucks and is part of Sweden’s Volvo Group.
