Old Dominion Freight Line has announced the opening of its new 160,000 sq. ft. service center at 3300 Duncanville Rd. in Dallas.
The 60-acre, 234-door service center will handle over 3,000 shipments each day through its 380 employees, Old Dominion said. It replaces the previous Dallas center, which was 130 doors on 19 acres.
The facility features a Dock Yard Management System (DYMS) for more efficient handling of customer shipments, updated hand-held computer technology, and all Old Dominion trucks will be equipped with RFID tags for easy entrance to the facility, the carrier said.
