Police are looking for a truck driver who is suspected of assaulting a woman in Comstock Township, MI, in a road rage incident, according to WWMT Channel 3 News, a CBS affiliate.

Kalamazoo County investigators are asking for the public’s help in indentifying the trucker involved in the incident.

According to police, a truck driver became enraged at a 52-year old woman whose car was blocking his attempt to make a right-hand turn at the intersection of 33rd St. and Michigan Ave. in Comstock Township Friday. The woman was waiting to make a left turn at the intersection. Witnesses said the trucker began making obscene gestures at the woman, then got out of his truck and assaulted her in her car.

As witnesses stepped in to assist the woman, the trucker returned to his vehicle and took off, traveling north on 33rd heading toward Richland. The truck driver is approximately 50 years old, 5 ft., 7 in. with dark, graying hair and a burly build. He was wearing tan shorts and a white shirt, witnesses say. He was driving a rig with the letter “X” and the word “Caldonia” on the driver-side door. He was pulling a white Wabash trailer.
