One of the unsung heroes of our military is the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES). For 115 years, the organization has provided support to the businesses that supply our military bases and personnel. To celebrate its anniversary, AAFES “wrapped” up its history on a single tractor-trailer that will travel from base to base across America.

The concept behind the imagery is to showcase the role AAFES has played in support of the U.S. military. Each side of the trailer begins with the Earth's skeleton and leads the viewer through the organization's history with a series of photos transitioning from black-and-white to full-color images, completing the “story” on the sleeper portion of the Freightliner tractor.

“As it travels from one post to another, Americans will have a better appreciation of our commitment to our armed forces,” says Shawn J. Revilla, regional fleet specialist. “They will see the smiles depicted on our graphics of our soldiers and airmen away from home enjoying the simple pleasure of life such as a can of soda or a bag of chips. What better way to say we care and we're there for you.”

On the rear door, the trailer proudly states the name of the person driving this special vehicle: 2009 AAFES Driver of the Year Johnny E. Lichnovsky.
