Tridako Energy Systems, Inc., of Alliance NE, announced today that Nebraska Machinery Company (NMC) has signed on as a worldwide distributor of Tridako’s PowerCube auxiliary power units (APU).
“Our strategic partnership, formulized today, will help both companies expand their product offerings outside their traditional areas of expertise,” said Dan Koch, President of Tridako. “I’m very pleased to be part of the concerted effort and look forward to the economic and structural growth for both Nebraska-based companies”, stated Dan Koch, President of TRIDAKO.
Omaha-based NMC is one of the largest Caterpillar dealerships in the U.S. Since October 2008, NMC and Tridako said they have partnered to market and distribute the product in the U.S., developing dealers while gaining a broad customer base and brand recognition. Additionally, said Tridako, NMC is committed to expanding the market worldwide with initial emphasis in Australia, Brazil and South Africa.
The PowerCube APU is a self-contained gen set powered by a 2-cylinder 0.5 L Cat diesel engine. It mounts to the frame rail of a Class 8 rig and is used to supply the driver with heat, a/c and additional 120-volt power during downtime. This reduces the fuel expense of truck idling and harmful carbon emissions, said marketing director, Jill Tolstedt, who added that the APU is an EPA SmartWay verified technology.
The PowerCube’s proprietary design is known as the “toughest APU on the market,” noted Tolstedt.
