Phillips Industries hires director of engineering

Phillips Industries has named Dave Lajeunesse director of engineering. He will be responsible for all Phillips engineering protocol, research and development and customer relationships. 

Lajeunesse’s background includes an overseas assignment in Japan where he developed expertise in continuous improvement processes using lean manufacturing and lean engineering strategies based on Toyota/World Class systems, Phillips said.

“Dave is a perfect fit to lead our engineering department today and for the future we have envisioned for our company. His background, experience, innovative thinking, and personal attributes all meet the criteria for his new leadership position. We welcome him to our company,” said Rob Phillips, president & COO.

Lajeunesse was most recently director-advanced manufacturing engineering and engineering services for Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems.
