Roadrunner Transportation Systems hired William Goodgion as president of the company’s Transportation Management Solutions (TMS) segment. Goodgion will be responsible for overseeing the entire TMS segment, which comprises Roadrunner companies including Group Transportation Services, Marisol International, and Unitrans International. He succeeds Kevin Charlebois, former president of Roadrunner’s TMS segment, who the company said has accepted a CEO position with another HCI company and “leaves Roadrunner on the best of terms.” A seasoned transportation industry executive with over 25 years of experience in operations management and strategic development in global freight forwarding, Goodgion joins Roadrunner from FedEx Trade Networks Transport & Brokerage, where he was most recently managing director of operations for the central region, Roadrunner said. In this role, his responsibilities included overseeing financial performance and operational execution of all import/export air and ocean freight forwarding, gateway services, customs brokerage, distribution, and surface transportation. Roadrunner said Goodgion joined FedEx Trade Networks in February 2000 through the acquisition of Tower Group International. He joined Tower Group in 1992. According to Roadrunner, Goodgion’s career at FedEx in global freight forwarding also includes serving as managing director of global distribution services, as well as local operating and regional management positions related to international and domestic air, ocean and distribution services. “Roadrunner is proud to welcome Bill to our leadership team,” said Mark DiBlasi, president and CEO. “He is a highly regarded executive in the transportation management industry and will bring exceptional leadership expertise to our TMS segment. We are excited to have someone of Bill’s caliber oversee the strategic direction of this growing segment as we work to provide our customers with comprehensive global supply chain solutions.”
