Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV announced that it plans to stop producing the Dodge Dart and Chrysler 200 sedans to allow increased production of SUVs and pickups, The Detroit News reports. The company said the shift is due to changing tastes of buyers, who favor pickups, crossovers and SUVs. The company also said it plans to free-up plant capacity to build more Ram Truck pickups and Jeeps. The Detroit News has more.2. In the wake of Winter Storm Jonas, ports in New Jersey re-opened to tractor-trailers on Wednesday after three days of intense snow removal, North Jersey reports. Terminals were backed up and drivers had to wait two or three hours or more for much of Wednesday. However, according to the report, the Port Authority said the main problems occurred early in the morning for the most part before dissipating after a few hours. NorthJersey.com has more. 3. San Francisco is the latest American city to join the Vision Zero Network, the San Francisco Examiner reports. Vision Zero is a collaborative effort to study traffic-related deaths and help develop a plan to stop them. The Examiner has more. 4. A Louisiana truck driver is suing New Orleans Trucking and Rental Depot for underpayment of freight he hauled. According to the Louisiana Record, the driver seeks an order forcing the trucking company to provide documentation for freight he hauled, as well as recovery of any underpaid amounts. According to the York Dispatch, police report that a Chester County man who was supposed to be plowing a warehouse parking lot on Sunday instead stole a truck and tried to run down employees at the warehouse, which housed a bunch of Harley-Davidsons. According to the report, Robert W. Fisher, 25, of Honey Brook is charged with two first-degree felony counts of aggravated assault, as well as two third-degree counts of theft and one of criminal mischief, among other charges.
