Bar’s Leaks introduces a repair option for vehicles that burn up to one quart of oil per day. New professional-grade Bar’s Leaks Valve Seal Oil Consumption Repair restores valve seals that have shrunk, hardened or cracked due to age, high mileage or extended vehicle storage, the company said, adding that this prevents oil from leaking past the seals and burning in the combustion chamber.“Traditional valve seal replacement jobs can take hours,” says Clay Parks, vice president of development. “But with new Bar’s Leaks Valve Seal Oil Consumption Repair, worn seals can be repaired quickly and easily without taking the engine apart. By repairing seals instead of replacing them, you can save your customers time and money.”Valve Seal Oil Consumption Repair (P/N VS-1) is added to the vehicle’s existing engine oil. It contains an additive that restores valve seal size, flexibility and elasticity, the company explained. This additive is coupled with an advanced seal polymer that builds a polymeric film around the valve seal to help prevent excess oil from bypassing the seal during normal engine operation. Valve Seal Oil Consumption Repair is a synthetic blend that works with gasoline and diesel engines, and all types of motor oils. Once added, it starts to work within 15 minutes of driving or idling the vehicle. Bar’s Leaks warrants that “Valve Seal Oil Consumption Repair will effectively stop oil consumption issues with a single dosage. If oil consumption recurs while Valve Seal Oil Consumption Repair is in the engine, Bar’s Leaks will refund the purchase price or send a replacement product,” the company said.According to the company, one 16.9 oz. bottle of Valve Seal Oil Consumption Repair treats engines with oil capacities of 4.5 quarts to seven quarts. Smaller oil systems can be treated with half a bottle. Use one bottle for every six quarts of oil in larger systems.
