Sunkist Growers and Taylor Farms have announced a new joint venture: Sunkist Taylor LLC.

“Our goal,” said Bruce Taylor, chairman and chief executive officer of Taylor Farms, “is to build our fresh-cut fruit operation to serve both foodservice and retail customers nationwide. Working together, we are creating a world-class fresh-cut fruit and vegetable company.”

Founded in 1893, Sunkist is a citrus marketing cooperative owned by and operated for its 6,000 grower-owners in California and Arizona.

Taylor Farms, headquartered in Salinas CA, is a leading supplier of salads and fresh-cut vegetables to the foodservice market and a leader in the bagged salad category. It operates eight production operations nationwide.
