Delta Pride Catfish Inc and Country Select Catfish have merged to create a new entity named Consolidated Catfish Producers LLC (CCP). The merger of the two processors aims at lowering distribution costs and is expected to generate more than $150 million in combined sales.

CCP will handle sales, marketing, and distribution for both suppliers. Other administrative duties may be integrated into the new firm later. Both companies will continue to operate with the Country Select and Delta Pride brand names.

Dick Stevens, president of Isola MS-based Country Select, will stay on as CCP's president. Serving as vice-presidents for the new firm are Brad Stevens of Country Select and David Allen of Indianola MS-based Delta Pride.
