McLeod Software has completed its interface to Eaton Corp's Fleet Advisor fleet management system. This system is a combination of onboard computing that includes GPS (global positioning system) technology and wireless mobile communications.
Fleet Advisor uses both nationwide terrestrial and satellite communications using its onboard touch-screen computer system. This allows drivers to automate their trip sheets, DOT logs, IFTA metrics, and record transactions at each stop. When interfaced with McLeod software, Fleet Advisor can add new stops or change routes on a driver's onboard computer in real time to adjust for changes in operating schedules.
