StarTrak Systems, a subsidiary of Alanco Technologies, has launched its new ReeferTrak Sentry product line.

ReeferTrak Sentry offers users two-way monitoring and control communications at a cost savings. Sentry uses a lower-cost, cellular-based wireless communications platform that gives users two-way communications with refrigerated truck and trailer fleets through direct interface with the refrigeration unit manufacturers’ microprocessors. Combined with the ReeferTrak Commander and Scout (radio-frequency) systems, Sentry allows StarTrak to provide monitoring and control services for virtually every reefer operator in the North American market.

Sentry provides users critical trailer and reefer information throughout the shipment lifecycle. It allows for data integration with freight dispatch systems, letting users remotely monitor and control shipments from their central operations facility. With Sentry, users can assure themselves that temperatures are set properly at the beginning of the shipment cycle and properly maintained en route, and dwell time and fuel usage can be accurately measured once trailers arrive at their destinations.
