The Wheelwash Powerwash System cleans wheels on their inside and outside walls, in treads, and in between dual rear wheels. As a vehicle approaches the powerwash, an inductive loop sensor activates the spray system. The vehicle is driven through the first section, where a patented angle grid system causes treads to spread and vibration to knock off mud and debris. In the second section, multidirectional water jet-spray nozzles are directed at wheels and undercarriage, while washing the wheels and tires. Upon exiting at the third section, vehicles are driven over another angled grid system, causing excess water to be shaken off.
Wash time normally lasts from 15 to 45 seconds, but can be regulated by the electronic control panel for longer periods.
Water recycling is available with Wheelwash's patented Vertical Flow Clarifier. Under platform washdown, spray nozzles on a separate system flush away waste to a central collection point. This material is pumped into the primary filtration point. Water is filtered, cleaned, and directed back into the system, while the sludge is separated for removal into a roll-off.
