ArvinMeritor announced that five of its manufacturing facilities have received Paccar Inc’s 2009 Quality Achievement Award for supplier parts and component quality.

The award recognizes suppliers with a defect rate of 50 parts per million (ppm) or better during 2009. ArvinMeritor supplies axles, braking systems, and other drivetrain components for Paccar’s Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF trucks.

The five ArvinMeritor facilities to achieve Paccar’s “50 PPM” standard are Forest City NC; Franklin KY; Cienega de Flores, Mexico; Escobedo, Mexico; and Lindesberg, Sweden.

ArvinMeritor continues its worldwide quest for excellence through its own SixSigma program, encompassed in the ArvinMeritor Performance Manufacturing System, adopted more than four years ago.
