Great Dane Limited Partnership announced officially January 21 that the company has acquired the Eastern van manufacturing facilities of Strick Trailer Corporation. These facilities are located in Danville PA and Abbeville SC.

The acquisition of the Danville plant will enable Great Dane to better serve its customers in the Northeast region of the United States as well as the Canadian market. Until the acquisition, Great Dane plants had been concentrated in the Southeast and Midwest. “These plants are among the most efficient, quality-oriented facilities in the industry,” said Phill Pines, COO, Great Dane Limited Partnership.

The Danville facility will be re-tooled and upgraded to build Great Dane Trailers. Plans are still being finalized for the Abbeville facility.
