Hayes Truck Group has acquired the Dallas County (Texas) franchise for medium-duty GMC commercial vehicles. The purchase more than doubles the market area served by the company's original GMC franchise covering Fort Worth and surrounding area. The acquisition took effect June 28, 2001.

The Dallas franchise agreement comprises the Sierra 3500HD dual-wheel chassis-cab model, conventional C-Series mediums, and W-Series and T-Series low-tilt models.
