Fleets The Condyne Companies have named Joseph Gilboy vice-president of operations for Condyne Logistics LLC. Gilboy has 35 years of experience, including two years with Condyne Logistics as director of operations. Cheryl Audlee has been named customer service manager for Condyne Freezers Inc. She previously served as customer service representative.

The MRS Companies have appointed Frank Calabrese vice-president of sales and Jack Baierlein vice-president of logistics. MRS has promoted Scott Kapral to director of operations of the Temperature Controlled Services unit. Teresa Rowland has been named manager of technical support.

Tony Chrestman has been named senior vice-president of field operations for Ruan Transport Corp, a business unit of Ruan Transportation Management Systems. Chrestman has more than 29 years of experience in logistics and transportation services.

United States Cold Storage has promoted George Cruz to vice-president/area manager of its Florida operations. USCS has named these plant managers: Brian Kroll at Dallas TX, Larry Alderfer at Union City CA, and Randy Dorrell at Bakersfield CA. Ron Longhany will be manager of the Milford DE facility, and Ricardo Saldana has been named superintendent at USCS-Laredo TX.

Jameson Logistics has appointed Hope Brooks manager of operations. Brooks has served with Jameson since 1994.

Suppliers Carrier Transicold has promoted Neal Walsh, formerly director of marketing, to manager of strategic planning/business development for Carrier Refrigeration Operations. Tom Ondo, previously Southern Region director, has been named director of marketing. Mark Fragnito has been appointed electronics product manager. Mark Eaton, formerly Eastern Region director, fills the Southern Region director post. Greg Jones takes over as Eastern Region director, and Bob Jacques is the new Central Region director. Travis Smith, who had directed dealer development in the Western Region, now heads all dealer development activities in the United States and Canada.

Hyundai Precision America Inc has named Soo Yong Lee executive vice-president and chief executive officer. Lee previously headed the Middle East office of Hyundai Motor Co. Joseph McKernan has been appointed director of trailer sales for Hyundai Precision America. He previously served as parts planning manager.

Alcoa Wheel Products International has named Merrick E Murphy Jr to the newly created post of market manager-e-commerce and accessories. Murphy most recently was commodity manager-packaging, mobile equipment, and extrusion dies.

AB SKF has appointed George Dettloff president of CR Americas, SKF Seals Division. Dettloff previously served as president of the Camcar Division of Textron Fastening Systems. He replaces Bengt Nilsson, interim president, who is retiring after 37 years.

Mark D Slingluff is now manager of communications for Hendrickson International-Trailer Suspension Systems. Slingluff has worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber, Tire, and Continental-General Tire.

Viastar Services Corp has named Sherry A BeCoats vice-president-human resources and Robert W Mosteller Jr vice-president-finance. BeCoats previously was human resources director for Viastar; Mosteller was Viastar controller. Fred Rayner, executive vice-president, will build and expand business-to-business e-commerce programs and services, and conduct analyses and feasibility studies. Sandra Couch, senior vice-president-business development, also becomes senior vice-president-customer service.

TMW Systems Inc has promoted Mark Woodka, its vice-president of sales and marketing, to senior vice-president-e-business development. Ron Wagner, a 13-year veteran of the transportation software industry, has been promoted to vice-president of sales.

The Holland Hitch Co has hired Scott W Fowler as director-fifthwheels and kingpins. He comes from Jacobs Vehicle Systems, where he was responsible for worldwide sales and marketing for all products. Holland Hitch has hired Patrick C McGurk as director-coupler products. Most recently, he has been principal owner of McGurk Associates.

Accuride Corp has appointed Larry Taylor vice-president-sales and marketing for its heavy-vehicle operations, succeeding Brad Schultz, who retired effective July 15, 2000. Schultz will serve as an adviser until first-quarter 2001. Taylor most recently was Accuride's vice-president/Europe.

Richard Couch is Phillips Industries' new account manager in charge of select OEM trailer accounts. Couch most recently was with Lubriquip Inc. Jason Rak is Phillips' new Northeast regional sales manager. Rak most recently served with Sterling Truck Corp.

Associations Alfred L Gaspar has been named president and chief executive officer of the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association. Gaspar served as executive vice-president of AAIA the past year. He replaces Gene Gardner, current president, who is retiring.

Thermo King Corp engineer Herman Viegas has been selected to receive the inaugural Thomas A Edison Award from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers International for his contributions toward 25 refrigeration-related patents and advances in cryogenics. The United States Patent Office has awarded Viegas more than 30 patents.

Glen Crawford, a vice-president at Pillsbury Co, has been named board chairman for America's Second Harvest, a domestic hunger relief organization. Crawford succeeds David Nasby, vice-president of General Mills Foundation and director of community affairs at General Mills Inc.
