Final development of more than 40 educational sessions is nearing completion for the 2007 Foodservice Distribution Conference & Expo, taking place October 7-9 at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville.
Themed as a “Triple Crown Event” — addressing distribution, technology, and supply chain issues — the conference includes topics on distribution center operations, transportation, human resources, and information technology. New this year is a special supply chain track for executives working to unlock supply chain potential for improved efficiencies. The conference also features an operations-focused exposition, plus facility tours of Sysco Food Services of Louisville and Gordon Food Service-Shepherdsville KY.
Program topics include fuel economy and alternative fuels, operational benchmarks and distribution metrics, leveraging technology in the warehouse and onboard, controlling health care and benefit costs, and operations ideas for smaller distributors. The conference exposition provides an opportunity for distributors to meet with product and service providers supporting foodservice distributor operations.
