Rand McNally announces new RouteTools Small Fleet Edition routing software for fleets with up to 25 trucks. Route Tools creates customized routes that small fleets can rely on to provide quick and profitable runs with the same capabilities used by larger trucking companies. The Small Fleet Edition's graphic interface lets drivers:

  • Use Lowest Cost Routing to calculate a complete cost including maintenance, fuel costs, and toll road costs.

  • Customize toll road usage.

  • Incorporate driver break schedules.

  • Use the Rating Calculator to determine rates by user-defined load size, zone, vehicle size, and materials.

  • Quickly locate nearby cities and truck stops, set a radius and a location to find needed amenities.

  • Route for hazardous materials, choose from 10 different hazmat types to route around known restrictions.
