Atlas subsidiary to acquire certain TCT Logistics assets

Atlas Supply Chain Services Ltd, a subsidiary of Atlas Cold Storage Holdings Inc, has agreed to purchase certain assets of the temperature-controlled transportation business of TCT Logistics Inc and assume operations at its Brampton terminal. The business will operate under the name of Atlas Cold Logistics. This purchase is being made from KPMG Inc, acting as interim receiver of TCT Logistics.

The new company is expected to employ about 75 administrative and management staff. Atlas expects to operate 290 tractors through some 190 owner-operators and 100 company drivers. The company expects to operate 550 refrigerated trailers.
