Terion, provider of trailer fleet management systems, has launched FleetView 3R with Reefer Monitoring and signed its first reefer monitoring customer, Raider Express.

This announcement represents the 10th enhancement to the FleetView trailer tracking product line over the past year. FleetView 3R extends the operational benefits of refrigerated trailer tracking by providing reefer unit operating information to dispatchers and managers, wherever they may be.

Benefits of FleetView 3R include:

  • Reefer temperature is provided for up to three compartments.

  • Critical reefer shutdown alarms can be reported instantly by e-mail and/or text message.

  • Reefer temperature is continuously monitored, comparing it with a user-defined temperature range.

  • Reefer battery voltage and gas levels can also be monitored with alert sent to the user, based on user-defined thresholds.

  • Temperature logs can be stored in FleetView 3R for up to three months.

Raider Express Inc, a diversified reefer carrier based in Fort Worth TX, was one of several beta test customers for the product. Based on test results, Raider signed a contract for purchase of FleetView 3R.

“With Terion's system, Raider will be able to monitor sensitive temperature issues, trailer pools, and provide exact locations to our customers," said Dan Eggleton, treasurer for Raider Express. "We will also be able to monitor and recapture expenses related to our services.”
