This white paper was developed to provide information and recommendations on the new generation of heavy-duty engines, transmissions, cooling systems, and related technology. It features sections on Cummins engines, Caterpillar engines, engine cooling systems, spec'ing considerations for powertrain lubricants, automated and manual transmissions, axles and drivelines, and suspensions and traction control options.
